First time guests who stay at Nitschke's Northern Resort often praise about our cabins' amenities. While each cabin offers their own unique, extra touches, all cabins have a slew of standard amenities that make every stay extraordinary! From fresh, crisp sheets to a fully-stocked kitchen, our cabins offer more than your average "resort" stay. Explore below all the ways our cabins provide that home away from home experience.
Fully Stocked Kitchens
Every single cabin has a full-size kitchen equipped with all the tools and appliances needed to make a home cooked meal or a quick snack on the go. They even contain items that one might not think about bringing but make a huge impact on feeling homey upon arrival. Kitchens include a full-size: refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, sink and cabinetry. Inside the cabinets, guests will find a wide array of cooking utensils, silverware, glassware, plates, bowls, serving dishes, serving spoons, grill tools, kitchen rags, towels and random kitchen gadgets to assist in homestyle cooking.
Bathrooms
All cabins have at least one full size bathroom with many having 2 or more. Cabin bathrooms come with cleaning supplies, cushiony bath rugs, and a full-size tub/shower combo. While guests do need to bring their own towels and wash cloths, the cabin bathrooms have plenty of hooks to hang dry them once they're here and in use.
Living room
Our living rooms all have color tvs with access to cable. Most living rooms have one or more couches, lounge chairs and cozy carpeting or hardwood floors. All windows have blinds or curtains, helping to create that intimate space when the sun goes down. Throughout the entire cabin, guests have WiFi access, air conditioning and heat, making our cabins true 4 season cabins.
Bedrooms
Every bedroom has one or more beds with freshly laundered, crisp bed linens. As of the start of Covid, we have had to ask our guests to bring their own pillows. Each bed has a warm blanket in case the Midwest summer nights get cooler than expected as well as dressers with plenty of drawers to store clothes. All cabins have either an in-room closet or clothing pole with hangers to help organize the space. All bedrooms have windows with blinds or curtains.
Sun rooms (also known as 4-season rooms)
Most of our 4 season rooms have a gas fireplace with plenty of comfortable seating and 2 or 3 full walls of windows. Many guests enjoy this room over every other room in the house as it provides for hours of entertainment watching the wildlife meander past or the lake's waves roll up on the shore. The 4 season rooms also typically have a "mud" area to take off shoes, coats or sandy beach clothes without having to drag those items into the main living area.
Outside
Our resort offers tons of resort-wide amenities you can learn about here. Specifically, however, each cabin is equipped with a gas or charcoal grill outside and a picnic area for outdoor meals.
